A warm welcome to Pepperbox Nursery. The nursery first opened its doors in 2005.
The Pepperbox Nursery provides quality childcare for children from 3 months up to when the children reach school age. The children are exposed to a wealth of experiences, creating highly motivated thinkers and inspiring imaginations. We a have our own back garden with direct free-flow access for the pre-school children. Our experienced and qualified staff are passionate about nurturing the children in their care. A wide range of activities from den building, story telling, creative play, exploring outside and playing in the mud kitchen and messy play inside enables the children to learn from their play.
Over the past year the Pepperbox Nursery has continued to involve the children with the local community, as well as making them aware of what is happening further afield as part of the quality child development that the nursery offers.
Parents can access funding for help with the childcare costs, through the Early Years Entitlement with 2 year old funding which depends on criteria being met, or the universal entitlement, which can be claimed for any child once they have had their third birthday. This provides for up to 15 hours a week nursery care, which can be extended to 30 hours per week if parents meet the criteria.
All staff that work at The Pepperbox Nursery have a minimum NVQ level 3 or are working towards this, and each team member is also trained in paediatric first aid. The twenty four staff have together between them over 200 years of childcare experience.
